Spring has Sprung

We are so excited to annouce that we have seen the sure signs of Spring at the Francis house! Now that its so nice we can leave our front foor open, and we were quick to learn that it is Otto's favorite place to be. He stays there all day watching the cars and people go by!

Also I am so excited because the Tulips and flowers in our yard are begining to BLOOM! I am so happy to see the sure signs of spring here with its wonderful colors and smells!

and of course Easter! We had a wonderful relaxing eatster that we spend with lots of family, we started off at my Granppa and Grandma Lloyds (who live here is Sugar House) wished them a Happy Easter listened to the morning sesion with them, then we went to my parents and listened to more confrence, found our baskets that the easter bunny hid and colored Easter Eggs, we then went to Matts wonderful Aunt Kitoras for a yummy easter dinner with all of his large family there and then we ended at our second familys home (they arent really family but pretty much) Dave and Leslie Mckinnons! It was a perfectly crazy holiday filled with family, Just like we like it here in the Francis home!

Crazy life at the Francis House

So i know it has been awhile the Francis' family has been craziness!

Matt has been juggling school ,work and recently been very involved in his new business that he is getting started. I am so proud he got his business licence and found there retail space and we are very excited about that! We cant wait for it to open!

This last month we moved into a wonderfuly cute home up in the Avenues which we adore! It is right on 6th Ave and close to everything downtown. I will have to post pictures as soon as i can. It has alot of character and and old charm, not to mention Otto loves his huge backyard!

I started a new job but after a few months realized that i am not a 9 hr a day, cubicle ,office kinda girl! haha Who would have even guessed right? ;)

I have really been missing my BFF, so a few Tuesdays ago Matt decided it would be good for us to go and see her! We flew in to Long Beach about noon on Wen and had a wonderful day with a rented Convertable in the sun, shopping on Venice Beach lunch at Lemonade (delicious) and a night out in west Hollywood! Then returning back to Salt Lake by 10 am Thursday! It was quick but wonderful!

This last Thursday Matt and I decided we needed to get down to AZ to visit Matts parents and soak up some sun while it was snowing here! So Friday we jumped in the car and drove down! It was so incredibly nice to be in warm weather and with good company! We wish we could go down there every otehr weekend! We miss his Family aton and it was so great to see them! Otto swam in the pool for his first time and he loved it!

Even tho the life here at the Francis' has been crazy we love our life and couldnt ask for better friends and family and are greatful for everything we have!

A warm Christmas

Since i have been very spoiled through this whole year i couldnt really come up with anything that i wanted this Christmas! So my amazing husband knew exactly what i needed, you guessed it another vacation! He knows that i love to travel and hate the snow so got me to a beach for the holiday! The only other thing after that i could have asked for was to be with my family (Everyone needs to be with family for the holiday) So being as blessed as I am my Dad and Matt made that happen! Not only did i get to go to a beach for Christmas but my entire family got a cruise for Christmas!! It was the most incredible Christmas gift i could have gotten! We were gone for nine days in the beautiful sun of Ixtapa, Acapulco and Manzanillo Mexico! We had such a blast sailing, jeeping, eating and of course relaxing!I hope everyone had a Very Merry Christmas also

So its been a while since i have written but since Matt and I celebrated our One Year Anniversary! We went up and stayed at an incredible place on main street in ParkCity for a long weekend!
I know everyone says this but i cant believe it has been a year, it literaly flew by! We had such a crazy first year of marriage. This year we have had some really hard times, a few sad times, but mostly great times!Looking back everything we went through only brought us closer and made us stronger which i am so greatful for it all!

Between the 2 of us we have had...
7 job changes
2 moves,
sold 2 cars,
bought 2 new cars,
been on a cruise to Mexico,
been to Aruba,
been on another 9 day cruise to Mexico,
found out we were pregnant,
had a very hard ectopic pregnancy,
been to Orlando,
been to Vegas twice,
been to AZ
have been back and forth to the hospital multiple times for tests (to many times to count

over 20 hair color changes,

4 concerts,
and Adopted our little puppy blessing named Otto!

And i can say i wouldnt have wanted to go through any of it with out my wonderful husband Matt whom i love so so much and am blessed to say is mine!

As it gets closer to Thanksgiving i have really been thinking of every thing that i am greatful for. The next few days i am gonna be listing some of those things, but as i thought of everything i was blessed to have in my life the one blessing that i thought was that i couldnt have most of this list if it wasnt for the amazing and free country that i live in; the USA. I am so very blessed and greatful to not only to have close family members and friends who serve for our country each and every day but people who dont even know me out risking their own lives fighting for my families own freedom. I am also greaful for the wives of our military who keep our soliders strong and support them! Thankyou. This and this is a video that helps show that perfectly.

So recently Matt started feeling really sick and with my brother and Matts manager with H1N1 we were pretty sure he was coming down with it~ Mind you he had a 102 fever and body aches so bad he couldnt move in his words "he felt like death". So we found the only InstaCare that was open on a Sunday night at 10 pm. We live in Sandy and of course the only one open was in Orem. So we raced down there before they closed. After 40 minutes we finally saw the doctor and the only thing he asked was if we had been around anyone who had H1N1 so we said yes then he listened to Matts lungs, asked if he had asthma (which he does) and the doctor left! The nurse came in 2 minutes later and handed us a prescription for an inhaler! (which we already had) That was it! Neither of us could believe that was all no test for strep or swine flu, no antibiotic, no addvice nothing! I thought forsure he had H1N1.

So after a week Matt was feeling really sick still, not getting any better and started coughing super bad! (even with his inhaler) So he went into the doctor and what do you know, Matt did have H1N1 and because he hadnt done anything about it or slowed down it got in his lungs and turned into Bronchitis! Icant even tell you how mad i was at the first doctor at the InstaCare! Rrrr.. So after a long road of sickness and frusderation i can say Matt is finally starting to feel alot better and i Cortney went and got my SwineFlu Vaccine!

So they other day i was getting ready for work in the bathroom and had opened our linnen closet to get out a towel. Not thinking i just left the door open. I got done blow drying my hair and couldn't see otto layin in the door way (were he always is watching me get ready) I could hear him growling and attacking something..

The Attcker Otto, the Victim Toilet Paper! In 6 minutes he had gotten into the bottom shelf of the linnen closet and pulled down the CostCo size toilet paper pack, he ripped through the plastic and pulled out all the rolls of toilet paper. He would push/roll them so a long piece would be across the family room and then he would shred it, (like hard core shred) then roll it and shred that etc etc... I was laughing so hard watching him do it and he was so proud of himself that i couldnt even get mad!

So i have had short hair in the past and loved it, anyone who knows me knows i dont style my hair all that often! Its like the shoe makers kids go barefoot, ya the hair dressers hair goes undressed~ So one of the reasons i loved my short hair was the lack of effort it took to do each morning!

Well i have always LOVED Pinks hair and i knew if i cut it again thats how i wanted it so i told my husband " one day i am gonna come home from work with this hair..."

... and 1 week later i came home with that hair cut! These are'nt the best pictures and i dont have any with my hair up in a mo hawk but i gona try to remember to take some next time i do it up! But i will try to get pictures up ASAP!

So now that i got my pictures working i am so excited to finally post about our trip to Bear Lake!

A few weeks ago my moms entire family went and stayed up at my Uncle Matts Cottage at Bear lake to celebrate my Grandparents 50th anniversary! Between 4 days and me woring Matt and I drove up and back 6 times! Ehh..

My mom is the oldest of 8 kids and we had everyone there! It was carzy fun with 21 cousins and all my aunts and uncles flown in from Oregon to Florida! We had a blast hanging out in the sun, eating, laying on the beach, boating, jet sking, attending church together, watcing others boats sink and eating some more!

What The HAIL!!

So Matt and I are so very excited that one of our bestest friends are finally home from North Carolina, the Moore family! YAY... We were lucky enough to go up to a cabin in Midway and stay wiht them! (kinda to kick off that they are back with us)We had a wonderful time of course thanks to Mikelle and Dan we had a blast! We went to Dairy King and got yummy shakes and then went back and played games! We realized we really were turning into "old" married couples when we were all ready to go to bed at 11:00 and when we had "Slept In" and it was only 8:30am! O geez! But that next morning we wake up and we are eating our most spectacular chocolate chip pancakes that Dan had loveingly made and we hear thumping on the roof! So we head out side and there it was hailing like the size of marbles! It was crazy let alone it is still only Aug folks; and then it doesnt melt! It was cold enough outside to stay and look like it had snowed! I am not ready for this weather!! ehhhhh.. But over all we had a awesome time on our outing with the Moore Family!

I know its been a while since i have writen but i did want to get on and say how greatful Matt and I are for everyones love, prayers and concern this last month. It was deffinitly the hardest thing we have gone through since weve been married and are more then blessed to have each other! Matt and I know we are truely blessed with close friends and family around to give us the strengh and support to get through times like these! I can't tell you guys THANKS enough for your wonderful friendship!

As rough as this summer started out for us we are so greatful its finnaly here! We have been able in the sunshine and some rain to go to the AirForce Show, swim at our pool, take a few trips to Lagoon and spent alot of time out side with our family and precious little Otto! if he could be out side 24/7 he would! ("If it wasnt for his dang fur coat that makes him so hot" he says he would be) Here are just a few pictures and i hope everyone had a safe and wonderful 4th!

Matty and I recently adopted a new puppy! His name is Otto and he has so much personality! He is a Bear face Pocket Pomeranian!! He weights 1.7 pounds right now and will only get to be 4 or 5!! He is so much to have around and great to take everywere we go!

Huddle up in Florida!

I, with 634 managers and owners of Sportclips stores flew down to Florida for a nation wide meeting for 5 days! It was some crazyness but still alot of fun! After being in meeitings and classes for 8 (6 our time) in the morning til 7 at night and very much sleep deprived for 4 days Duke (our owner) Megan (my friend, and regional manager) decided to head to Universal for our 5th day of fun! The entire time we were in Florida i was feeling really sick! (Come to find out when i got home i have a horrible ulcer!) The last day there i was the very last of my region to fly out, that morning i was to meet my shuddle to get to the airport at 7:20am! Being so very sleep deprived i slept right through my alarm!!!! Finding myslef waking up at 8:50! (YA tell me about it!!) After waking up in a cold sweat, calling my husband (in Utah) in sheer panic, running to the lobby in PJs and tears and paying a cab driver over $100 dollars i can say i made it to the airport and through security within 10 minutes of boarding my flight! Not to mention leaving half of my wardrobe, all of my hair products and my CHI straightener back at the hotel! Needless to say i couldnt have been more extatic to see my wonderful husband and to be home from the Huddle~

As if our life isnt crazy enough this week moving into our new place tomorrow, Matty decided last night i needed a new car so he had to sell my current car! So yesterday he cleaned it up quick and posted it on KSl.com! Little did we know that it was gonna be a hit, it SOLD in 2 hours! ya what?! So as of last night I needed a car! So today between work and packing and school we where out searching for a new car! We got so unbelievably lucky (and with some grrrreat hook-ups) at Doug Smith Auto we found the perfect car we wanted in an hour!!! We got me an 06, MAZDA 3Sport !!!

It was SOOO nice not having to worry about going from place to place! So yes in the last 24 hours we are busily packing, selling, buying, working, managing, moving and even a little of sleeping! What can I say I love my wonderful crazily busy husband that keeps up with me!

Moving up!

The Francis family has been quite busy the last week which explaines why i havent writen for some time!! Last Thursday i was asked to come up and be the manager of the South Jordan SportClips!! YAY... We are so very excited (not to mention a more then wonderful raise), so i am now manager and going to be very busy with that!! This last week i have been helping begin to manage South Jordan while still working on the cutting floor at American Fork! CRAZY CRAZY!

Next thing, Matt and i are happy to announce is that we are moving up to Salt Lake County! South Jordan to be exact! We are way totally excited. We found a perfect condo thats just off of 90th south right on a beautiful golf course, it has gerat views and is completly adorable!! In our complex we have a theatre, a 24/7 gym, 2 pools and full anytime access to tanning beds!! For those of you who know matt and i this couldnt be any better!

We will get pictures up ASAP...Its way close to my new salon and much closer to salt lake so Matts drive will be much shorter to school! It works out for the both of us PERFECTLY!! We are really excited about our new adventures and feel really blessed... we will keep you all up-dated on the crazy but wonderful times!!

A Perfect Day Off...

So Matty and i finally got a day off together! Thursday was the first day that we both had the day off with nothing to do (besides being on vacation) since we have been married! It was pretty amazing! So we made the best of it!! We woke up early and took our wolf (Butch) on a 5 mile walk from Highland to Lehi! It was such great exercise for Matt and I; let alone a great time to just talk! We then went to Gandolfos to eat back the calories we had just burned! (Isnt that the way it works?!) Then came home cleaned and did (some) laundry, took a nap and played a quick round of WWF then got ready for the night! We went up to Gateway and shopped (of course) and then went to a wonderful dinner of my favorite food SUSHI at Happy Sumo!

After our dinner we took a quick trip to the Moon! We knew no one would believe us so we brought the camera!

After returning to earth we went to a wonderful IMAX 3D movie about "under the sea"! it could not have been cooler! The entire time it felt like you were under the water and learning so so much! With me being the water and fish freak that i am it coudnt have been better! It was so amazing! We deffinitly left smarter and more nerdy then when we went in!

(ya, matt more creepy too... its the stache)

While heading home we ran into a driver of the Rascal Flatts bus! He was super nice and informative while letting us take pictures! but he still wouldnt let us in one of the 9 buses! (we tryed everything, believe me he he)

Matt and i had a perfect day off together and i coudnt have spend it with anyone other then my best friend!

So far we have had a great Sunday, Matt didn't have to work today so that was great since it rarely happens that we both had a day off together! We taught our wonderful primary class, that we love so much. We teach the 6 turning 7 year olds and they couldn't be funnier! We also went over to the Lloyds home and had a perfect steak dinner and played some kareoke . which was me singing over and over! love that ;) and now we are off to watch our Sunday shows except for the best of all, Desperate Housewives!
Its not on tonight... Rrrrrr... They always do that to us! Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

Our Valentines Day!

Matt and i had a very "married" Valentines Day... I went to work first thing in the morning and then Matt went to work at 1 pm i then got off at 5pm and Matt got home at 10! We didn't see each other all day ( for 14 hours) It was hard but a great introduction to the busy married life! I made a good dinner that we finally got to eat at about 11 pm after friends of the families had left! It was sooo nice to finally get to be together for our 1 hour of Valentines Day! :) Matt gave me a wonderful card and beautiful flowers but best of all i got new Under Armor shoes for work that I absolutely love~ Our V-Day was busy but it was the best one i have ever had, being able to be married to my best friend and fantastic, hard working husband that i LOVE so much! xoxo xoxo

Our Mexican Riviara Cruise!

This Last week we were lucky enough to go on a wonderful cruise down to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas! It was so great to be in warm weather and i was completely enthralled with the large ship! We absolutely loved it!

While we were in Mazatlan we went Pair-a-sailing! I have to say it was on my list of coolest things I've done in my lifetime! Matty loved it too but for him the landing wasn't so lucky! While coming down on the beach the Mexican helpers say "They will just catch you just leave your feet up" (Looking at them they didn't look like Hercules) .....But i went first and they caught me like champs, it was easy and graceful! But for Matty it didn't go so well... check it out...

I am not exactly sure how he got so much bounce from his butt while hitting the sand but dang was I impressed! I wanted to yell "SCORE" Way to go Honey! We are just glad no one was hurt!

While in Cabo we found the most gorgeous beach and funny that it was named Lovers Beach~ It is in a small cove/canyon in the rocks! Matt loved playing in the 10+ foot waves of course and couldn't get enough of them! It also gave me a heart attack watching!

My favorite part of Puerto Vallarta was a baby donkey i found right when we got of the ship! Her name was Chickita and she was so soft and cuddly! I wanted to bring her home but Matt said we didn't have anywhere to put her so i couldn't! If any of you are looking for some good gift ideas for me here's one... A Infant Mexican Ass!
And last but not least THE FOOD. For any of you who know Matt and I you know that besides The Sun, A beach and each other we love food more then anything! So being on a ship in the sun on water why not add that we got all you can eat any food 24/7! Littraly.. If you want pizza and soft serve at 3 in the morning its there for you every night, just ask Matty! But yet he still cant figure out how he gained 8 pounds in that one week! Humm...

Our Honeymoon!

Matt and i went to ARUBA for a week on our wonderful honeymoon! Aruba is a southern island in the Carribean! It was gorgeous! Through the place we stayed we got a private island that couldnt have been more neat! On the island they had pink flamingos and iguanas that just rome! Another one of the craziest things was the price of food, but other then that it was Amazing! If you havent ever been to Aruba it is a wonderful place to visit and relax!

We had a wonderful but crazy 1st Christamas! On Christmas eve Mark (matts dad) and Matt and i all went up to brighton to snowboard (this made for a sore Christmas) We did alot of short travles back and forth between familes(which we are greatful we live close enough to both that its possible! ) Christmas eve we went to the Allens to portray the the nativity!(Matt as the wiseman, of course)

family party and then to the Rudd Family party and then Back for a Lloyd family party. There we all got matching p.j.s! Which actually turned out to be quit the fashion show and soon turned into a photo shoot! If you know anything about the Lloyd family you can picture how crazy it became!

Then Christmas we had Christmas morning with the Francis family and then to the Lloyd family to open more great gifts! Then back to the Francis(my in-laws) for some fun then to the Lloyd (my dads family) Party and then later that night to a wonderful movie with the Francis' family (my in-laws)! Yes.. you can say a crazy but perfect 1st christmas!

Our Wedding Day

Matt and I where married in the Salt Lake Temple! It was the most perfect day! Our luncheon was a the Joseph Smith Memorial building and it was so wonderful, being surrounded with our family and closest friends! The food was fantastic and the company was even better! That night we then had our Reception (i call it a Party) at the most Faboulas place, the Bungelow! Our day coudnt have been more perfect and it was more then we could have asked for!
